The Square Pegs do Christmas

Square Pegs do Christmas at Cardigan Guildhall Gallery 5th-17th December

Just like this dog walker by Sue Bain,  we're all wrapped up and ready for the annual Square Pegs Christmas exhibition running from 4th-17th December in the Cardigan Guildhall Gallery.  The usual Square Pegs suspects will be showing their work  (Glenn Ibbitson, Carole King, Annie Coombs and Yvette Brown) alongside a delightful selection of fine art from Lola Chapman, Zara Kuchi and Helen Rowlands, ceramics from Sue Hanna, Sheila Hickey and Hilary Coole, glass from Moriath Glass, Sue Bain's wirework, textiles by Holly Hart, photography and design from Mary Thorp and - wait for it - chocolate from Botanics Chocolate!  Oh, and there will be a very big Christmas tree too.  Come along and see if we can solve a Christmas present dilemma or two.

Crackers from The Square Pegs

The Square Pegs launched their latest show of hand crafted gifts for Christmas at The Corn Exchange Gallery in Cardigan yesterday. Featuring hundreds of perfect presents in their display of items all at £30 or under this show is not to be missed. There are also some larger pieces available.
For one week only ( until Dec 15th) 10-5pm daily

Annie Coombs- jeweller

Annie's unique jewellery pieces are crafted individually by hand- each brooch or pendant is inspired by a story or a place. Elements such as the sea are represented through colour or shape.

Her silver jewellery is embellished with gemstones and textures or beach pebbles and glass. Her own individual designs use lines and textured areas which flow across the surface. Leaf shapes or tree branches are carefully positioned, connecting the layered elements which add depth to each picture.

Some pieces are free standing.....

whilst others are neatly enclosed within a picture frame.
