Green Fayre November 23rd/24th

The Green Fayre at the Waterfront Museum in Swansea will be another first for me this year and I am really looking forward to it. I shall be concentrating on my books made from recycled packaging. There will be all sorts of designs to choose from just perfect for those moments of inspiration, a quick sketch in the park, sticking in  those favourite recipes and scrap booking.

Recycled - The Square Pegs

 RECYCLED

The Square Pegs sixth show begins on Monday 28th May in Cardigan. Taking the theme of recycled we have chosen 13 makers and artists using recycled materials in their work resulting in a diverse and interesting selection of 2 and 3 dimensional work.

Why not drop in to see what delights we have found or just to have a quick play with Polly as she skips around her garden- courtesy of Yvette Brown and Steve Thompson.

As you can see the posters have definite recycled theme of their own

Velvet and Lace

Found this lace at the local antique shop that I just had to recycle- it goes perfectly with the soft green of the velvet that I already had at home.

Coptic bound notebook with 80 pages/ 160 writing surfaces of white cartridge paper.
The covers are a soft green velvet overlaid with 'antique' lace and decorated with a line of tiny pearl beads. The book is stitched together with narrow green satin ribbon and measures 10 x 15 cm. Lined on inside covers with handmade green khadi paper.
