The makers from The Cambrian Wool Challenge had an exciting day on Friday when they congregated at Nanteos Manor near Aberystwyth to meet Prince Charles during his tour of Wales this year. Prince Charles is patron of the Campaign for Wool and has been much involved with this whole project. He spoke to all the makers, asking questions and showing a lot of interest in the work. This wonderful exhibition explores a wide variety of products that can be made from the Cambrian wool-both from the yarn and the finished woven fabric. The natural, warm colour of the wool provided a common link across the 40 individual pieces and its flow and silky finish shone through even where the yarn had been dyed. Artists and makers from both Wales and across the world are represented in this exciting exhibition.
