Perfect! The two new ones are on the left, the two with months of work in them on the right! Lovely binding, lovely covers and brilliant paper! Thank you, Only winter to get now! (And spring/summer/etc 2017!)

What Cat draws in her books can be seen by going to https://www.instagram.com/catframpton/

The first book was a present but Cat aims to complete a weather drawing everyday  so she commissioned three further books to continue this brilliant project.

Commissions always welcome just contact me.

Gwanwyn Festival Bookbinding Workshops

I have been running a short series of bookbinding workshops as part of the Gwanwyn Festival, which is being held nationwide throughout May. The aim of this festival is to encourage more people over 50 to take part in the arts – art, craft, performance, etc – and to increase the number and range of activities on offer.

We have made Concertina books ( whilst being recorded by BBC Radio Wales ) and will be completing our sketch books this week. Each book has been constructed from simple materials and finished with various papers provided from home to create a very individual finished product. Everybody  has their own ideas about the purpose of their books- one is for a special present, another is to keep a record of their granddaughters visits with pictures and scraps stuck in.

On Tuesday 17th May we will be having a small exhibition of the books we have made- some may still be 'in production'.

If you would like to see what we have been doing or find out about future workshops we will be welcoming you with Tea and Biscuits to find out more: We will be in the Radley room at The Cardigan Guildhall between 1 and 3pm.

We would also like to hear from you if you have any ideas of what else you would like to see running at the Guildhall - arts, crafts, or otherwise – in the future.

Shape Shifters and Spirit Lifters

The Square Pegs have been curating for quite some time now- we have selected makers and artists, combining them to create exhibitions, sometimes themed, sometimes not, but always with quality and the skill of the artist as top of our list of criteria for inclusion
our next show is no exception........
you will find some new names and work in the Guildhall in two weeks time.
More information about exhibitors and their work will shortly be included on thesquarepegs.co.uk or why not follow us on our Facebook page for all the latest news  https://www.facebook.com/TheSquarePegs/
